Is there anything worse than a person whose life is so empty they must first emulate others, then steal, then lie, then go on an all out campaign to discredit anyone who has what she wants?

Nope. Meet Trisha Jacobs -- Big Ole Vitriolic Liar Who Does not Know the Meaning of Respect in ANY Language

Trisha Jacobs owns a badly designed and poorly executed website in Belgium, where US authorities leave her alone to spread slander about many writers, artists, and teachers of American Indian heritage. Why? Apparently Trish always wanted to be a writer, artist, teacher, and American Indian but isn't, so she's pretty pissed off at those who are, in whatever small degree. She had a lawyer who, apparently, wants nothing to do with her these days (no response to emails). Even Indians who once cheered her on look at the ceiling now when approached for comment. Why?

She's a complete fraud and total nutcase, and has been exposed for the fake she is.

She CLAIMS to be a writer, but the members contributing to this site could only find one article included in a book that appears to be a paid-to-publish venture that only sold actively in Sweden, and never found distribution in the US. She is also identified in a few places as a "comedien." Since our ten foot pole has a bend in it... we will ignore the irony there.    (www.fingerprints.be/comedy/trisha.html)

Christine Olinger, Ellie McBride, and several others found out about Trish when, some years ago, she was part of a forum on Yahoo that stole significant amounts of graphics featuring beadworking patterns. When Chrissy and two others asked for either credit or removal a war ensued. Since then she has had a listing with Christine's name identifying her as a "fraud" on her website. She further maligned a much-beloved elder (Grandmother Twylah), and several others who confronted her. Every word is a fabrication. She even had someone purchase beadwork to get a PO box in order to list it as an "alleged" inclusion in an email that she fabricated. The site is hosted in Belgium, where Trish hides from consequences and censorhip. That is the ONLY reason it still exists.

We have had six reports since this site went active that most of the "emails" she quotes are completely invented creations.

She CLAIMS to have relocated to Belgium in order to avoid hostile threats in her own country because of her "activism against racism." Recently she made a second claim to have been avoiding a "molester" she was attempting to expose.

Jacobs does NOT add the "non-enrolled" tag to her Cherokee byline on any of the OVERSEAS sites where ignorance allows her to be paraded around in a cheap knock-off of a tear dress. She is wearing the thing in every photo appearing anywhere online, so it is apparently a prized possession... or perhaps her finest prop.

Trisha is, apparently, worshipped as a goddess of bad information and even more dismal writing at The World In Our Hands Foundation.

Please note the membership fees. Nearly every "rant" against an author or teacher on Trish's website denegrates and demeans the individual for taking "money" to "sell" spirituality. Though we know little about many of these individuals, we know several are respected and unquestioned in both the publishing and activism communities. Some seem to be a bit wacky, but wacky isn't a crime, nor does it automatically mean you are a white person pretending to be red. And if taking money to teach about your "people's ways" is criteria for fraud-hall-of-famedom, Trish wins the the biggest fake award hands-down!

Recent update: Trish now admits to taking "travel expenses" for her "talks."

Check the above link. Second from the bottom-- Ward Churchill. Remember Ward? He's the Colorado NUTBAG who not only thought 9/11 was fine and dandy (and we had it coming), but paraded himself around as an Indian when he wasn't, and got caught by television reporters passing off a painting by an ACTUAL Indian artist as his own. (He became violent when questioned about it outside his office.) Please also note several other "Indians" who are whiter than George Bush. All of these individuals are hiding overseas, teaching their part-time, and using the ignorance of those who assume they are actual Indians to make profits off this ignorance. Sound familiar? Trish also recently stated she does not disagree with Churchill's stand on 9/11 while simultaneously distancing herself from him.

The book only appears to be marketed in Sweden, (and very hot in Amsterdam?) where nobody knows any better. It is not listed on amazon.com, nor Barnes and Noble. American Book Club lists the US publication ISBN as: 9163155184. The book is retailing in Sweden for 130 Swedish Kroner ($18). There are vague references to proceeds being donated the childrens' charities, but no specifics given. Contact attempts to get this information were ignored.

ONLY the American Book Center appears to be offering the title. Bookfinder couldn't even find it with the ISBN.

Trisha is a dedicated activist, fighting for her people. Her struggle against racism resulted in threats which made her leave US to stay in Belgium for a while. She is at present living there with her boyfriend, working as a stand-up comedian. Trisha has visited Sweden several times to talk about the injustice and racism against Native American cultures.

Trisha contributes with "Differences" where she openly shares her feelings about the way Natives are treated and her thoughts about the violation of "Native American spirituality".

Note the direct change in her story on her website, as quoted on the new rant response linked at the top of this page. First it was her acts against racism that drove her to Belgium. Now it was a child molester she was trying to bring down in her moonlighting gig as a superhero.

While it may seem petty to pursue someone as deluded and sad as Trisha, she unfortunately invites response with her cowardice. Trisha did not "leave the US" as a result of "threats." She left because she attacked so many individuals with groundless claims that it was the only way she could survive. NOBODY in her home country will put up with her.

Liars are not welcome anywhere.
