SIGH... where to begin. It would probably be a good time to clarify just who wrote/compiled the original TrishaJacobs.com website. Recently everyone's favorite Belgian/Swedish/Cherokee Indian Princess decided it was Christine Olinger, simply because Chrissy linked to the site from her home page (and possibly because she is a big honcho here). While this was funny, it's incorrect. Ironically, at last count six home pages were linking to TrishaJacobs.com.
As most of the people involved with TrishaJacobs.com know, the website came about as a group decision when SEVERAL DOZEN people aware of her, her lies, and her history finally connected. The email list was formed years before Christine, myself, or anyone here at the Tank knew about it, but we met several of its members via a writing list's publication announcements/updates newsletter. Steve Cavanaugh gave us permission to use his name as the originator of the article exposing Trisha Jacobs as a fraud in 2001. It was then that the Sceptics' Tank became aware of the mailing list of people who watched Trisha and exposed her lies in a shared letter, titled Trisha Jacobs Lies.
The website, TrishaJacobs.com, came about after a get together in Austin, Texas this year at which publishing was a topic. Trisha's name came up, and an idea was formed. I offered to work with several others in building the site if we registered the domain name. I wrote it. Christine (again, identified with permission) offered to do the web layout and donated hosting space. She also contacted anyone she found online to have been maligned on Trish's fraud page. We eventually decided to have the Tank site host it. Ellie McBride (identified with permission) and three others who wish to remain anonymous paid for the registration, did the research, and sent us the information we used in conjunction with our own resources and those given to us by the newsletter.
NOTE: ALL SPELLING & GRAMMAR CHOICES IN HER QUOTES ARE HERS. NO EDITS WERE MADE TO CORRECT ERRORS. WE LEFT THEM IN TO SHOW WHAT A GREAT WRITER SHE IS.
READ ON (all Trisha's comments are quoted, followed by our explanations or responses in red):
"I dont have a guestbook on this site. And for one good reason..."
Yes, it's called cowardice and control. We already knew that."Well, it turns out that trishajacobs.com is either directly run by Christine Olinger or she had a friend put it up for her... not only links to it from her own website but confirms the hint about her images being stolen which she had mentioned..."
TrishaJacobs.com is owned by a collective and mailing list, as explained above. It is maintained and was
designed by several individuals; Chrissy did the initial template layout. Three individuals on that list had issues
with the stolen images on the yahoo group some time ago and several others were aware of it.
NOTE: she will change her mind about whom she is accusing a few times... please read on.
Also worth noting: while Chrissy did the template, the site itself is nothing like hers or those she updates."I didn't start this website until AFTER I moved to Belgium."
Of course the current site is just another in a string of many, including many forums and e-groups
Trish joined for the sole purpose of causing trouble and lying to make herself feel important.
All documented, as the mailing list and other damning sites have shown. Also see the links list on
TrishaJacobs.com. We also never made claims about her specific sites' dates."Lies you told to get people to give you donations that as far as anyone knows went into your own pocket."
This is the third time Trish has accused three individuals of this and never had a shred of evidence.
She repeats it, apparently, when she runs into brick walls accusing someone. Evidence? None.
Chrissy, who is the target here, has an immaculate donation and charity auction record. In fact, it
is impossible to solicit charitable donations in the manner she does without it being tracked.
(Proceeds from a book she co-wrote, charity auctions, etc.) Again, this info has been in the mailing list.
Sandy (Last Name Witheld) of the former NWCA, verified Trisha as the source of the original attack, as did
the foremer president. eBay does, in fact, require all charity auctions go through Mission Fish,
which collects all fees. We invite everyone to check all charity auctions with them. Once more, she targets
Christine here, but later claims she doesn't know "who she is" and switches the object of her pronoun."As to the tipi's, if you'd looked at the website where that picture came from you'd see it was at an Indigenous peoples day in Sweden."
The words "Indigenous peoples day in Sweden" are just so hysterical we will simply look, laugh, and enjoy.
(Another fun note-- someone who pokes fun of others' educations using possessive rather than plural.)"let's see... blah blah blah oh yes, here's something"
Not important, really, just fun to note that this "blah blah" seems to be her writing style.
EXTREMELY professional."Let's see... my website is crap blah blah.... If you bothered my lawyer with emails about "slander" that could be why he wouldn't waste his time in replying to you."
Check the links with regard to the lawyer. Five people on the e-list verified that he now represents one of the
people she hired him to sue. She never has given a new council's name. No person is willing to claim her.
"As to who I am and what I do: yes, I do want to be a teacher and I already am those other things... Actually that book has sold in several countries including the states. And I've been published in a few other spots as well."
Nobody anywhere can give evidence that Trisha works. This is straight from the mouth of Steve Cavanaugh,
who has been researching it for the past year. He was the provider of the information on the questionable book
and its mysterious charity donations. Irony is a harsh taskmaster. There are REFERENCES on websites to
Trisha doing stand-up, but none recently, and she CLAIMS that she takes no money for her "teaching.""I actually don't remember you from that group - I barely remember that group and was only part of it for a short time. If your graphics were stolen, that was wrong and they shouldn't have done that. But if you're implying that your listing on my site (and I still have no idea who you are) has something to do with that then clearly you are delusional as I don't remember that and have no idea who you are."
Sandy, Chrissy, Ellie, and Cathy all witnessed the incident on yahoo, and Trish still uses several
aliases in these forums. She also dedicated an entire page of lies about Christine, yet claims she has
"no idea who she is." Here she seems to have a specific "you" in mind. Pick a story and stick with it?
(See, we promised this would get weirder and weirder.) How can she publish an entire endictment of
a person while claiming she has no idea who she is?"I relocated when the opportunity arose because I had tried to put a child molestor behind bars and was recieving quite a bit of hostility and some threats from him."
Brand new story. Her own, quoted words claim something else entirely, but she changes stories regularly.
Check TrishaJacobs.com for clarification of her original lie, as compared with the newest one.
The DIRECT QUOTE from her bio claims that she was forced to leave due to threats because of her
"struggle against racism." Guess she forgot to check her notes on which story she's using this week.
Friendly tip... I before E, EXCEPT after C."Now, given that you are a total whack job who appearently has an entry on my website of his/her very own I have no doubt you have other buddies on the list and that you consider them to be honest and respected."
FIRST she identified Christine as the author of the site, now she is confused about the identity?
That being the case, why lie at the top of the page, then pretend ignorance several paragraphs later?"As for money, I've only asked for travel expenses."
All the people we know who genuinely raise and donate funds ask for nothing. Activism doesn't require
travel expenses. It requires action and responsibility. The only evidence of any activity on this woman's part
is her own whining and ranting on her own site. That's hyper-active delusionalism, not acitivism."At the Indian festival they invite people from the states and canada. I did meet quite a few people who thought they may have been Indian in a past life, and some people I would term wannabes."
There was a mirror handy?
"I go to tell the nuts that Native spiritual practices aren't for sale and that's about the only thing I talk about aside from growing up and a little general NA history."
But Trisha's rantings are, in fact, for sale. A non-registered white girl gets paid travel expenses to judge OTHERS?
"I don't lie about my enrollment status, or sell spiritual practices or items, molest people in the guise of a spiritual leader, claim to be a Chief etc etc."
Trish can't do anything but lie. Scroll up or down. She admits to taking compensation but calls it
"travel expenses" and never proves any claim, but feels entitled to judge the rest of the world.
All her bios submitted and published by others omit the information, as noted on TrishaJacobs.com."I don't think he [Ward Churchill] was totally wrong about 911..."
Wow, lucky she had to run away from home to a country where nobody in THIS one can respond to that in person.
"Let's see - left the US in 2000 and started this website in 2002. Kinda hard to support your fantasy."This was another interesting example of Trish responding to something that was never said.
See the chat log from a discussion involving that here:
http://www.scepticstank.com/trishajacobslog.htm
While it's neat that she shares dates with us that don't refer to anything significant, note that
moving a site to a new location does not change the date of one's initial episode of lie-telling and
destructive gossip-mongering. Nobody ever claimed any date associated with the current site."Just a tip, next time you decide to put up a website about someone and fill it with inane statements about how I dress and without actually quoting anything I've said..."
The entire Trisha Jacobs site is, and always has been, filled with quotations.
All references to her clothing were addressing the cultural appropriation of traditional Indian dress.
Reading comprehension issues? At least she's still fun. The nice thing about this crazy is, she always opens her mouth to implicate herself to greater heights (or depths). Special thanks to Steve, Ellie, and the emailers who wanted to remain anonymous for their hard work in contributing to the truth. Extra special thanks to Chrissy for laughing when she got the blame. Super duper thanks to Princess Trisha for making us laugh so very hard.
